What a nice film by Michel Gondry.

Gondry (ETERNAL SUNSHINE, etc) has put together an engaging, visually stunning piece of work. The shots are economical, Gondry is up to his usual visual zaniness.

Most importantly, Gondry found a way to pull of an amazing visual feat: he manages to help Jack Black lose himself in the character. His presence in the film really threw me at first, but to his credit, he's completely believable.

It's a sweet, charming film. Worth it.
