I've been saying this for the past couple years, including once on this site. I hope he has a case.

I can't help but chuckle when any of these political types sticks his/her nose into the sports world, with an obvious agenda to promote.

I mean, we have two wars in progress, the greatest economic crisis in half a century, millions of people out of work, entire industries on the brink of collapse, a never-ending war on drugs, exploding incarceration, the list goes on.... And yet these folks want to make an issue over sports topics: be they steroids, spygate or the BCS.

Just how some of these bozos get elected in the first place is beyond me.

You know someone will start a thread titled, "Utah sues the BCS"

And you know who will link this one on that one.

(but don't tell her I said that!)

Not to nitpick, but this is a crucial error in the linked story:

Every year some politician from the state of a team that was screwed by the BCS makes these noises. Didn't some Texas congressman or senator recently call for some kind of investigation/legal action against the BCS?

Good point, zebracoy. That's not nitpicking.

That's further evidence that those relatively new terms for I-A and I-AA were not well conceived. The word "Championship" is in Bowl Championship Series, which is part of the tier that is not the Football Championship Subdivision. It is, as you know, in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

Another reason it confuses the hell out of people.

    She loves me.

Unless we're talking about slappy (2nd-most likely). But he loves me too.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Most state attorneys general don't get involved in wars, economic crises, etc. But, by all means, rail on.
