The Lawrence Journal-World did well tonight. First, they reported Scott's plane would leave Austin at 8:10 p.m. Central time for KC.

In addition, they posted a link where you can follow Scott's plane, which appears to have landed in Lubbock. Guess the severe storms might postpone that face-to-face meeting with Lew Perkins until tomorrow.

Finebaum just got his first woody since, well, ever because Stallings told him this last week.

I was just scattershooting earlier with my conference breakdown, but you gotta admit, having four 16-team conferences has a nice symmetry to it. It will work out.

Minor bowls had relevance before they started to multiply like rabbits.

Delaney said all home runs. Schools lose money if you bring in GT and Duke. Good effort. But your alignment just doesn't work.

So the Big Ten really is the Big Twelve now, and the Big 12 really is the Big 10.

What makes this so right, is not your amazing grasp of counting, but your correct usage of 10 and Ten, 12 and Twelve.

If the Big 12 does stay together, then it will expand because it can't have a football title game without 12 teams. If the Pac-11 can't get any of the Texas schools, then I suspect it will add Utah.
