I know this show has at least a few fans on the board and I hadn't seen a thread, so what the heck.

Be warned. If you don't watch the show, you are not only missing out on some great telivision, you are also going to have no idea what I'm talking about.

After two wild episodes about the rescue of most of the human population from a Cylon-occupied planet to start the third season and one episode of fallout, things slowed down a bit.

As usual, this was as much about the characters and how they hold on to their humanity or lose it altogether as it is about fighting evil robots.

The Cylons encounter a virus that could destroy them, but the key moment of the episode is Admiral Adama confronting Starbuck and Tigh because they are not only falling apart, they're taking others down with them.

It was a little predictable, but I liked the juxtuposition (how the hell do you spell that?) of Starbuck starting to get her act together while Tigh falls deeper into the hole.

I'm curious what we (Earth) sent out that caused the virus (as well as when we sent it). The Cylons said the probe was ancient which indicates to me that BSG either takes place in our Earth's future or that humans had advanced technology long ago in our history that we've just forgotton. Either way that sets up for an interesting story down the line.

Not to mention the immediate ramifications, including the idea of using the virus to wipe the Cylons out.

Speaking of the virus, I forgot to post this earlier. There is a password given during a commercial break of each episode leading to bonus web content on scifi.com. The passsword this week is "Apollo," but the video content it leads to will be taken down at 2 a.m. EST.

I want to know what diet Apollo was on.

The "the fans like Jamie Bamber thin" diet.

One of the few things that bug me. The stuff with Admiral Adama's porn 'stache, Starbuck's long har and Lee's weight gain and loss was just dumb to illustrate how they changed and then how they came back to being their old selves was just a bit much.
