    I'm reviving this thread to brag - please forgive me - but I found out today from a friend that I received an honourable mention in BASW 2009.

    It's very gratifying to make the grade, given the quantity and quality of the submissions, and I can't wait to get my copy of the book.

    Thank you so much for the honour. :)

    Look at the hell that was unleashed when our borders were opened up to the CFL. We let you play football down here and now we've got to include you in our sportswriting anthologies. Damnit!! :D

    Being a runner myself -- well, in terms of any kind of quality, I WAS a runner -- I loved the Burfoot story.
