    The Dodgers were huge underdogs to the A's and the needle, and the A's were one strike away from going up 1-0.

    All Eck needed to do was get Mike Fing Davis out.

    Carter's is No. 4. (Only reason Gibson is ahead of him is because the Blue Jays were defending champs and kinda expected to win against the one-and-done Phillies. Dodgers were one of the most improbable champions of the last 40 years, against a powerhouse (albeit underachieving) A's team.)

    Hard for me to be objective on this as I am Blue Jay fan.
    I can remeber exactly where I was for both of them.
