    I had to check on the 1956 one, but for some reason I knew the '67 one.

    Was probably a trivia question on a Twins broadcast.

    It's too bad what happened to the winners in 1997: Scott Rolen and Nomar Garciaparra. A few years ago, they were almost locks; Rolen for his glove and blossoming power, and Nomar for just about everything.


    By the way, remember Bob Hamelin?

    Which says a lot, considering they'd both have far fewer years in the league than the norm.

    Eddie Murray has the worst homerun to at bat ratio of all players to reach 500 home runs and has the most career at bats of the players to hit 500 home runs. Babe Ruth had 5801 career at bats to Murray's 11,095.

    Murray has about 1800 more at bats than the next players, Mel Ott at 9200
