1987 was I think Tom Lawless. Don't remember '89. Chris Brown?

Lawless is correct. The '89 guy was even more obscure.

E is incorrect. Jack Murphy is still standing, I think. I'll try 83, Orioles/Phillies.

Jim Palmer has to be the Oriole in question

This is pretty easy, but...name the first (and perhaps only) player to play for all four teams that have, at one point or another, called New York home.

    OK,

I admit some cheating in one answer unearthed another.

I was curious about the winning Yankee pitcher in the 1976 game. Looked it up, it was Dick Tidrow. Now, I didn't look at his history, but remembered him pitching for the Yankees, White Sox and Cubs. Baseball-reference confirms: His last team was the Mets.

Same answer to two different questions, Corky. Tricky.

Wrong on Wayne Garrett? I thought he led off the first game with a single. Hmmmmm.

EDIT: Ah, I know where I went wrong. Garrett led off the NLCS with a single. It was actually Willie Mays, batting third and playing CF, who got the Mets' first hit of the WS. :)

Dave Kingman -- oops, forgot he never played for the Dodgers.
