And Youkilis is 0-for-5 with four walks.

They wouldn't be at this point but Rookie of the Year runner-up Jonathan Papelbon blew a save in the 9th. :D ;D <----welching sack of crap!!!

It wasn't quite Kent-Bonds, but Scott Olsen and Miggie Cabrera fighting in the dugout (after Cabrera booted a grounder at third) was pretty damn entertaining.

BTW, did anybody see the Mariners (as the Pilots) and Tigers Sunday wearing their 1969 uniforms in another Turn Back the Clock day? They should have called it the "Ray Oyler Memorial Game."

Reminds me of a Dodgers-Giants game in '84 or '85. Game went 13 or 14 innings and Steve Sax, trying to extend a 25-game hit streak, goes 0 for 6 or 0 for 7.

Then Sax went on to a brilliant career with the Steve Sax Trio.

Olsen looked like a scared little bunny. Cabrera tried to get at him and he dashed down the steps to the tunnel.

Olsen should be mad, too, the way Cabrera showed little interest in tracking down a ball he let get away.

"New York, huh? I heard there was an unsolved murder there last year."
"There's a lot of unsolved crimes in New York."
"You just don't know when to keep your mouth shut do you Saxie?"

Yep, saw it (well half of the game anyway).

So wait, this means the Tigers lost to the Pilots, which are no more. So it shouldn't count in the loss standings, right? :D ;D ;)

Well Mr. Burns had done it, the power plant had won it
With Roger Clemens clucking all the while,
Mike Scoscia's tragic illness made us smile,
While Wade Boggs laid unconscious on the barroom tile.

    We're talking softball.
    From Maine to San Diego.
    Talking softball, Manningly and Conseco,
    Ken Griffey's grotesquely swollen jaw
Steve Sax and his run-in with the law,
We're talking Homer ... Ozzie and the Straw.
