And it was more the Astros beating themselves today. Two errors leading to runs, a run scored on a wild pitch. Tigers didn't hit Pettite hard, but got 10 hits, strung a couple together and got a couple errors to help.

Strong outing by Verlander. 10th win.

As currently constituted, the Yankees are barely a .500 teamk. They've gone from a lineup where Robinson Cano would hit ninth to a lineup praying for Cano to come off the DL and hit fifth. Oh, and all their relievers except Mo still suck.
That's going to make some over the hill sluggers and never was relievers very rich next winter. It's way too early for predictions, but THIS Yankee team isn't making the playoffs unless fate takes a hand, like Manny Ramirez and Jonathan Papelbon vanishing without a trace.

How's that Kyle Farnsworth thing working out?

Are you kidding, AQB. Kyle Fransworth is my favorite Yankee. Great signing. ;D

    Howie Kendrick in the PCL:
    #1 in avg
    #1 in OPS
    #1 in Total Bases
    #2 in doubles
    #4 in OBP
    #1 in Slg

    2-4 with a homer today.

    Lil' Weave today:

    6 innings
    1 ER
    12 strikeouts

But he "has some things to clean up" in the minors.

This is getting embarrassing for the Angels.1

    Yep, A-Rod just sucks. Terrible.

Sure it was a game-winning homer, but it wasn't even a grand slam.  ::)

  7. A-Rod is still gay.

If ARod were any sort of player he'd have hit the homer earlier in the game, saving the bullpen.

Oh please, it was a last place team. If this were 1996 he'd have grounded into a DP.

I would still be happy, too, hitting a game-winning home run like that.

Mauer goes 11 for 13 against the Dodgers, and hits .484 in June.

    Yep, definitely soft.

Twinkies go 15-1 and gain only a half-game on Detroit. Amazing.
