I have no idea where he's going to play in that lineup.

SI's Jon Heyman reporting the Dodgers also traded for Jon Garland.

    Thome and Manny Ramirez reunited.

Can't wait to watch them bat against Cliff Lee in the playoffs. Then maybe Cliff Lee can face CC Sabathia in Game 7 of the World Series, after Sabathia takes care of Victor Martinez in the ALCS.

    Sigh.

You just made me cry. I'm now blowing off the gym and going home to drink. Heavily.

Thome hasn't played first base in like three years. He'll be a well-compensated pinch-hitter.

Is Thome really going to play 1B for the Dodgers? Whoa.

Not sure if that's a good idea, but the Dodgers need a spark. Maybe this is it.

I'm just speculating. I hope they didn't give up much if all he is going to do is pinch hit.

Nobody quits on a season like the White Sox. Nobody.
