I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I thought A-Rod's interview w/Gammons and the subsequent presser was a course study in how not to spin the news.

Nice work, McCarver. I guess he really does hate the Yankees!!

I'm asking, again, what is wrong with the photos.

His being quoted is something entirely different.

I was wondering the same thing, and the best I could come up with was they justified it by this being an off-season incident.

Or maybe he's too good to get rid of after just one incident.

Depends on your outlet. I suppose if you're Deadspin you can run photos of a man bending a woman over with his crotch up against her. Or his mouth on her nipple with some whipped cream. Or a blond with her hand on his junk.

But in a newspaper? Harder to get away with.

Then maybe they should rephrase that zero tolerance bullshit. Because it is exactly that. A bullshit catchphrase to dupe idiots into thinking the team is really serious about this issue when in fact it is nothing more than Dean Wormer sputtering after the Delta guys as they march out of the room humming The Star-Spangled Banner.

I am moved to paraphrase one of the Hambricks (Troy, I think): What do zero tolerance mean?

Oh, and his .235 batting average suggests maybe he's not as good as the Rangers seem to think he is.

Hamilton needs some touch-up work done on those tattoos.
