    Wrong.

Kluszewski and Mel Harder are the only Nos. 18 to have their numbers retired. So there.

Wow, in the span of three days, Chipper Jones has opened up an 11-point lead over Pujols in the batting race. [/shutupit'stheonlythingIhavelefttorootfor] :D

Alex Rodriguez is the only player in Major League Baseball history with at least 35 home runs and 100 RBI in at least 12 seasons.

Too bad he sucks in October.

Along the same lines (only thing I have to root for).

Cabrera is up to 121 RBIs, just seven behind Morneau's 128.

Probably slim chance to catch him, but Cabrera has had one heck of a second half.

Cabrera is making a big case for MVP, but Morneau, Pedroia and Hamilton probably still top that list.

The Phillies have slowly developed some good left-handed hitting pinch hitters. Even though Geoff Jenkins was a starter at the beginning of the season, Manuel should continue using him off the bench with Stairs and have Werth, Victorino and Burrell manning the outfield. Werth's had a pretty good second half, .294/.404/.551, and 11 HR and 33 R.

No, he's not. The Tigers are terrible. There are numerous players in the AL with good numbers on good teams.

In that case, would you eliminate Hamilton from possibly winning MVP?
