    He used to live in a house down the street from me in Detroit when I was in my teens.
    Ron LeFlore bought the house and rented out the rooms during the season. Kirk Gibson bought it and Brookens stayed along. Gibby bought a house in Grosse Pointe Park and Brookens moved with him.
    He was like furniture...
