    Phenomenal

  3. Jody Reed came in 3rd in the 1988 AL ROY voting. I think that class of rookies may have been the weakest class in my life.

I thought baseball threads were supposed to go 60 pages. Why only 59 ::)

That looks pretty awful. Walt Weiss hit .253 and won the ROY.

  6. The guy who sponsors the Bryan Harvey page at Baseball-Reference.com claims Harvey was the best closer ever! Hands down even.

The 1985 AL class wants some love as the lamest class ever.

Poor Tom Browning. Probably wishes he'd been with the Royals 10 years earlier.

  8. Ozzie Guillen wasn't bad.

Plus his most similar player at age 22 was Buck Weaver

And they all have sucked, well except Chamberlain after the first 5 batters.

Give him credit-he definitely settled down after that. 12k's ain't too shabby, to say the least.

  12. Interesting read - Gordon Edes on the A-Rod book

I had read elsewhere where Peter Gammons had identified Brown as a steroids user.
