    Anybody have some good ideas as to how to go about getting a scout's phone number. Working on a feature on a local kid and looking to pick a few brains on him and the draft as a whole. Thanks.

    Whatever you do, for the love of god, don't quote him by name. You won't find one who will talk on the record, but they'll give you fabulous anonymous quotes.

    This is captain-obvious news for veterans.

    Shaggy;

    I was going to say the same thing. I've had some who wouldn't even talk anonymously. "Sorry, not until after the draft."

    Most would be ok with an NL East scout or AL Central scout, right?
