Given the number of SportsJournalists.comers in WNY and the GTA, who'd be up for getting together for a Bisons game one weekend? Or maybe TWO games?

They have a lot of homestands Friday and Saturday night with Sunday games starting at 1:00 on Sunday.

IF HC & I were going to come, we'd prefer either a Saturday evening game or a Sunday matinee.

    Here's the schedule

Nothing's cast in stone but I know at least Huggy & Patchs are interested.

Even if there's only a half dozen or so of us, it'd be a blast.

I have family in Buffalo and my cousin opened up a bar on Chippewa Street last summer, so I've been looking for an excuse to visit besides a funeral.

I'd be up for something like this.

The dates wouldn't really matter to me.

So, if you came, there'd be free beer, right?

    I imagine their might be.

My cousin's dad is big into (Democrat) politics in Buffalo and used to own a bar in South Buffalo.

My cousin and his brothers all bartender. One's a firefighter. One played minor league hockey. I don't think there's anyone in the city they don't know --especially bartenders.

When I've gone out with them, it's like being with the frickin' Mayor.

I don't think I've ever paid for a drink when I've been out with them.

If you're talking about July, my month of freedom, I'd consider making the drive

We are talking abut the Triple A Mets here. (as opposed to the Triple A team that plays at Citi Field)

    July works for me.

It's a nine hour drive from NYC to Toronto so I guess Buffalo's about a 7 hour drive? Nice drive, too.

I want to kill myself just thinking about that drive.

I suppose the Corning Glass factory was kind of neat, but I'll be happy to never do that drive again.

Can do it in about 6 1/2 from NJ ... less if I'm coming from my sister's house in the poconos (my July hangout)

I don't know. I can think of worse drives--Detroit to Toronto, Montreal to Toronto.

At least you go through the mountains in PA and it's pretty stress-free and you're not constantly surrounded by big-ass rigs

Then there's no reason for you NOT to come. :)
