I omitted a few names for brevity and because I felt there was little chance of them garnering the necessary 5% (notice I didn't say that I didn't think they'd make the Hall itself) of the vote to be on the ballot next year.

    • Brady Anderson (OF)
    • Harold Baines (OF/DH - 5.3)
    • Shawon Dunston (SS)
    • Travis Fryman (3B)
    • Chuck Knoblauch (2B)
    • Jose Rijo (P)
    • Todd Stottlemyre (P)

Since I don't know how to do it, could someone send the links to each players' stats in a hyperlink so others could take a look at the merits of each candidate? As for me, I vote for Blyleven, Dawson, Gossage, John, Raines and Rice. On the fence about Morris.

Blyleven and Morris should have been in long ago. I also voted for Gossage, Raines and Rice.

Didn't we already have a thread and poll about this?

It would be very hard for me to cast a vote to a player in the PED-era (still on-going) unless he publicly admits to using. That goes for McGwire, Sosa, Bonds, Clemens and the rest of the lot. I'll vote for good players who were bad people, but not liars.

PS - Novelist: I checked to make sure there wasn't already another thread, which I thought there was. There wasn't, so I went ahead and did my last poll of '07.

I'm sorry but that is really, really, REALLY funny.

And we also had a non-Phila thread about this a few weeks ago.

You know, PhilaYank makes it real easy to bust his balls, but he always takes it in stride, admits he's full of fail and moves on. That has to count for something.

You're OK in my book, Gallup.

I think the HOF should be reexamined often due to the steroids issue.

I think a guy who hits 510 HRs clean looks a lot better than a guy who hits 610 on juice.
