Baseball exec: Reduce games to seven innings

    Not a chance in holy hell MLB would ever agree to shorten time between innings. That's when their money's made. And simply saying "just charge more for the spots" to offset it falsely presumes advertisers would agree to pay it. I'm pretty sure MLB's already negotiating the highest prices it can get.

    I think the only reasonable suggestions here are the ones directed toward speeding up actual play: limit the time pitchers can dawdle between throws, or batters step out of box, limiting mound visits, etc. But anything that reduces commercial time, or shortens the actual game, ain't ever gonna happen.
