Yep. Billick grew up in Redlands, graduate of Redlands High School (according to the Ravens, he still holds the CIF-State record for career INTs with 21), got his start in coaching at the University of Redlands in 1977 -- the same year he appeared on the infamous Match Game episode -- before jumping to a job at his alma mater, BYU, in '78.

I had to cover a baseball game at Redlands High once and got lost. Got there in the 3rd inning.

And they'll never go back to Annandale.

I believe they said they'd go back when California tumbles into the sea.

Here's a question...if you lose that many games, why not just drop basketball? Or go down to NAIA? Or is Caltech competitive in other sports (women's basketball, baseball, softball, etc.) and they don't want to get booted out of the conference?

He's a gregarious kid, who will find the humor in it. Human sound byte. He works for the school radio station, so he'll probably crack wise about it on one of his shows.

Lay down the law and break it when Josie comes home.

  11. Which, now that Caltech has won, it just might.

When I went to Bard, we played such powerhouses as the Albany College of Pharmacy, Greene County House of Correction, and the Seminary of the Unification Church.

    And that's the truth.
