I feel bad for laughing, but that was pretty funny.

I'll take TSP in the dead pool. Karma's a bitch.

Can we have a Barbaro running thread, or would that be in bad taste?

I don't care if the horse lives or dies, but I hardly think its worth the kind of news updates that are provided.
AP used to give daily, then weekly updates on his report:
ie: Barbaro had a good meal of hay today and even enjoyed a carrot.
    I mean, c'mon

Was this completely paid for by the owner of the horse? How much tax money went into this?

If it was more than a dime, there's a hell of a lot of humans who need half the care Barbaro got and can't pay for it.

    FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

Stop making the "Money spent on Barbaro could have been spent better elsewhere" argument.

It's borderline retarded. Really. And don't ask why.

Think about it for a while.

Zeke, that argument is retarded only if no state funding was used. That's where my position is based. If no tax money, then no argument.

If this was George's horse down the dirt road, no one would give a shit about keeping the horse alive. Withdraw the sperm and create other Barbaros.

    Sigh.

Numerous wire stories have explained that the treatment used on Barbaro was experimental and could be used in the future to save any number of animals.

Whether tax money was used or not.

Again, would this have been done if it was George's horse down the road, even if it too was a thoroughbred?

I think we know the answer to that one.
