    The backstory: Johns, if memory served, was headed to Mississippi State then changed his mind. He and Croom had a little bit of a running battle. At one point, Croom said that he'd never play a snap at QB. Shula put him under center for a snap in the next MSU-Alabama game. I think it was the following year that this hit happened.
