    This is so sad, but also essentially the same shit that has been going on in every one of these hotspots.

    The epidemic of police brutality against young black men is worth action, but this is not the answer.

    I've made this point before, but I think it's important.

    The actions of these rioters and looters actually emboldens the police to behave worse and to ratchet up their already military-grade arsenal.

    Black mayor in a city that's 65-percent black. If she does nothing her supporters can spin it and say "she was in a tough spot," but if she sends the police after the rioters there's a good chance voters don't forget come election time. And check her bio. She's never worked a day in her life. career politicians only care about staying in office.
