This is actually one thing we did here at the Tulsa World. Before we went to the metered model (paywall is a dirty word around here), we re-organized the newsroom with the change in mind. As such, we added to our enterprise team, and they've produced some great stuff that has led to some good Web traffic, too. The enterprise reporters help cover big breaking news as well. Basically, our restructuring on the reporter side primarily was geared toward making sure we were offering subscribers, print or digital, something worth coming to us for because they couldn't get it anywhere else.

I haven't seen the actual numbers, but I'm told our page views are up, and more print subscribers are registered for the online site now since they get the digital package (web, apps, etc.) with the price of their print subscription.
