The Vet was more of a dump than RFK. At least at RFK, the bleachers sway.

Pittsburgh and Baltimore are each great in their own way. They both are representative of the cities where they're located. I love the warehouse, but the view of the rivers out back of PNC is neat.

Nats Park is pretty underrated, IMO.

Any thoughts on Citi Field from our baseball specialists?

Far nicer than Yankee Stadium from the standpoint of a middle-class fan. Plenty of variety in their food choices in a great outfield food court area, the Jackie Robinson Rotunda is beautiful, the lounge areas are spacious and comfortable, the access is easy via No. 7 train. Mets fans complain, rightfully so, that the ballpark has more Brooklyn Dodgers heritage than New York Mets, which is regrettable and undoubtedly attributable to boyhood Dodgers fan Fred Wilpon. Too bad they built it in a parking lot.

I know they we spent a lot more building Yankee Stadium but while it looks majestic from the outside and is in a great location, it seems like just a lot of poured concrete once you get inside. It's obviously more fan friendly than the old Yankee Stadium but so was the Bronx House of Correction. I'm at a loss as to where all those dollars were spent, however, I suspect that the places in the Stadium that cater to the 1 percenters, the parts of the stadium to which the rest of us have no access, must be really swell, though.

But if you're there you're watching the Mets. That kind of ruins the experience.

Wrigley Field has the same problem.

To me, Nats Park is like Sox Park, in that shuts out its surrounding neighborhood. In each, you can find spots where you can stare outside the ballpark. In the case of Nats Park, the Capitol, et al, are too far away and not tall enough to appear outside the outfield wall, but maybe incorporate the Anacostia River into the view and/or design -- like Pittsburgh or San Francisco (with the bay) might have made the park a little warmer.

I wonder how many taxpayer dollars went to build the concrete moat.

I've been to 12-13 parks or so. Knocked out Houston back in June for the first time. It's the first of the retractable roof stadiums I've been to. The enormous window over left makes it light enough.

Some thoughts: the PA announcer there sounds like a fucking strip club DJ on steroids; I'm not much for ballpark food, but I did tempt fate with the burger topped with brisket at the 5-7 Grill. Holy shit. Fucking phenomenal.

My personal favorite of non KC parks that I've seen: a toss-up between Safeco and Camden Yards.

Maybe I wasn't paying attention the one time I went, but I didn't think Camden was anything special. Also, the BBQ sucked.

Yeah, you need to go again. And get Boog's.

    I got Boog's. It sucked.

It might be that I've probably seen Camden on TV probably 10 time as much as any other iconic park that seeing it in person was no big deal. Similar to Wrigley Field. I saw probably 50 games there before I turned 10, so the novelty wore off long ago.

It's hard to beat Busch Stadium. Great place to watch a game. Great atmosphere.
