  1. You gotta love how the NYT, and everybody in this story, pretends not to know how this guy makes a living.

    The Boeheim quote at the end is a classic.

    I don't like that story.

    They make it sound like he's just some super fan or pal.

    And wouldn't taking Nike gear to Miami players be an NCAA violation?

    Unless he's the world's most successful mortgage broker, the IRS may want to match up his income tax returns against the way that he's living.

    Who says he's not paying taxes? What he's doing is against NCAA rules, but not necessarily illegal.
