Awesome choices. Except for zeke. Don Henley is good stuff. Give me a couple days and I'll have a bracket.

I've always thought Aaron Tippin deserved a special award for jamming as many country music cliches into a single song for this post-9/11 effort.

Well if you ask me where I come from
    Here's what I tell everyone
I was born by God's dear grace
    In an extraordinary place
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle fly

It's a big 'ol land with countless dreams
    Happiness ain't out of reach
Hard work pays off the way it should
Yeah, I've seen enough to know that we've got it good
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle fly

There's a lady that stands in a harbor
    For what we believe
And there's a bell that still echoes
The price that it cost to be free

I pledge allegiance to this flag
And if that bothers you, well that's too bad
But if you got pride and you're proud you do
Hey, we could use some more like me and you
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle fly

Yes there's a lady that stands in a harbor
    For what we believe
And there's a bell that still echoes
The price that it cost to be free

No, it ain't the only place on earth
But it's the only place that I prefer
To love my wife and raise my kids
Hey, the same way that my daddy did
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle fly

Where the stars and stripes and the eagle...fly
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle fly

I think we, as an SportsJournalists.com community, can all agree that "London Bridge" by Fergie and "Summertime Girls" by LFO are two cinches for No. 1 seeds, right?

I can't disagree with those two.

    Oh, for fuck's sake.

Any bad song tournament without Boys of Summer and Witchy Woman as high seeds is an utter fraud.

    FRAUD!

I kind of wonder how much seeds should be determined by a song's rotation. For instance, songs can go from catchy or mediocre to unbearably annoying, morphing into bad songs in the process. Multiple songs by Whitney Houston and Celine Dion come to mind, as does Creed's "Higher", but they were only intended to be poppy money-makers destined for heavy rotation, not pieces of art (and if they were, yeesh).
Intention should go into consideration. Songs that are made out to be pieces of original, artful music and failing terribly are, in my opinion, much worse than formulaic, annoying pop.

Good call, and Murphy didn't even really sing in the last half of the song.

You gotta have regions: Early Pop, Modern Pop, Rock and Rap. Or maybe combine the pop ones and have a miscellaneous one for country and ... screw it, give country its own group?
