Sesame Street laying off 20 percent of its workforce ...

(And who'd have ever guessed Sesame Workshop, the parent organization, would have $141 million in annual expenses?)

You really gotta spread around the sawbucks to keep all the gossip about Bert and Ernie out of the papers.

So who gets the ax? Bert, Ernie, Grover?

I'm guessing Oscar the Grouch goes. Can't see him being a team player, and the higher ups probably don't like the attitude.

Big Bird gets the axe. He's too expensive. </Lean Dean>

Elmo should get the ax, but he won't.

He's like the high-priced columnist of Sesame Street, and the like the worst of them who escape to ESPN for big bucks and celeb trappings, vapid as all git out.

    Fuck Elmo.

I heard snuffy is getting cut. They can't feed him on their tight budget.

Perhaps The Amazing Mumford was in charge of the cuts.

    "A la peanut butter sandwiches!"

Oops! We've got to layoff people.

I would bet Oscar is not drawing a check, I mean, he lives in a garbage can. If he was getting paid he could probably afford a dumpster.
