Baconaise

Has anyone ever had this stuff?

My mom called the other day asking about it. Said she saw it on Oprah. So I looked it up online, and what do you know? These two guys came up with the idea to make a mayo that tastes like bacon. You want a BLT? No need to fry any bacon. Just apply Baconaise and everything's cool.

Anyway, I ordered her some for Mother's Day. But now I'm wondering if she's going to hate it. Was hoping someone on here had tried it.

The site says you can get it at a number of grocery stores, including Giant. A quick search of my local Giant came up empty, so I ordered online.

    What say you, SJ?

The Daily Show uses it as a prop all the time.

Only time I've ever seen it.

If I didn't despise mayonnaise and everything it stands for, I'd love this stuff. Bacon-flavored ANYTHING is gold. I need to buy some bacon salt.

Yeah. They have all kinds of bacon-flavored stuff on that site. Like three different kinds of bacon salt.

    Ew.

However, for bacon enthusiasts - one of my friends told me about the Bacon Martini at the Double Down in Las Vegas. Her description? "Deliciously gross."

Anyone ever had a bacon bloody mary?

Why would you want a BLT without real bacon? It's the best part of the sandwich.

I agree. In fact, we had BLTs for lunch today. Tons of bacon.

However....what mom wants, mom gets. I learned long ago not to question her. :)

It's like a wish sandwich... load me up with the bacon

In fact, you could skip the lettuce and tomato and just give a heap of bacon

Now lettuce and tomato flavored mayo with a heap of bacon would work...
