Pretty funny story - 2 protesters of baby seal hunt arrested in Canada were bailed out by a guy who walked in with a bag filled with 5000 toonies.

On a not so funny note the 2008 seal hunt is over and another 200,000 baby seals have been clubbed to death in one of more barbaric annual events in a country that likes to portray itself as so civilized and cultured.

I wasn't in the office, but I'm told that at some point in the near past, we had seal meat in the lunch room for people to snack on. I'm also informed it tasted terrible.

I can't for the life of me remember what he said the occasion was.

I should also add I never thought to question the seal's age. But I like to think he (or she) lived a rich, full life.

Was it grilled or layed out on a bed of ice like shrimp?

Boom's taking his brain out for a walk which means Mr. Google is working overtime.

    The story's three weeks old.

We do this every year, it always gets ugly, it always gets locked. I probably ought to just do it right now.

    Might as well, Moddy.

Boom knows how to do two things: cut and paste quotes from ten years ago and find stories every year on the seal hunt. He's like a hardy perennial.

I'm waiting for someone to post the first pic of a clubbed seal. That always gets laughs.
