    Sorry, JR, gotta disagree.
She cannot do what she wants, she is there on the consumer's dime.

First, shouldn't we ask Dick Vitale to see if he was offended?
Second, markvid, the entertainer is not there on the customer's dime. That's backwards. Once you buy the ticket, the show's theirs for good or ill. Buying a ticket for another show, or not, is your only input.

Good point, Michael, but they know they have you. They are in an out in an evening, it's not as though you are going to tell others in other cities not to go.

Nope. I buy the ticket, you are there for me. I am not there for you.
So Babs, this Dem -- if he was ever forced to hear you croak out Evergreen or People live -- would rather suffer through your singing, not your politics...

If you go to a Streisnd concert you know the politics comes with it.

Just like if you go to a Springsteen concert, you know his "public service announcement" against the war and Bush comes with it.

God, you Republicans will whine about anything these days.

But if it gets to the point where the message is getting in the way of the music, do people have the right to be upset? Or do we just concede the point and not flinch when we plunk down 100 bones to listen to a one-woman liberal rally?

I wouldn't waste a plugged nickel on her, but that's because her music makes my anus contract.

If you're a liberal, don't go to a Charlie Daniels show.
If you're a conservative, don't go to a Streisand show.

    You pay for the show.

They decide what's a part of the show.

This is a slightly higher-minded version of screaming "Freebird" through someone's entire set.

Ain't no guarantees in life. You pays your money and takes your chances.

With all of the writing which has gone on now for quite a few years about how Streisand makes political comments during a concert... who would purchase tickets and then complain that an incredibly predictable thing will happen?

It would be like purchasing a ticket to watch a Schwarzenegger movie and then getting pissed off when he blows shit up and says, "I'll be back!"

Well, it was a muddy, sh*t-filled quagmire.
It definitely had its good and bad points.
