Read the Browns' response, and you'll agree -- they don't write 'em like that anymore.

I thought it was a hoax at first.

But I discovered there is a lawyer named Dale O. Cox in Idaho. Gotta be the same guy. I'll find out if he responds to my email!

Tell him some asshole is signing his name to some stupid emails.

By the way, I believe the Cleveland Scene has melted under all the traffic this is getting. You can also see the letters here:

Wow, I wish it could be 1974 again.

If that letter was written today there would be several lawsuits and several people fired.

Not only did the Browns' attorney not try to hide the letter from Art Modell, he actually CCed him on it.

These days, the person who got the letter would have held a press conference, hired an attorney and would be claiming he can no longer work because of the mental anguish caused by the letter.

The owner would be apologizing and every person who read the letter before it went out would be fired.

"Coach Mangini can you talk about this letter that a Browns employee sent to a season ticket holder? It was quite mean. It actually called him an (gasp) asshole."

I wish I was alive when the Browns were worth rooting for. :(

    Turns out, it was true!

Cool that the writer tracked down all the subjects.
