That's pretty racist, if you ask me.
    PS: She's about a single-digit handicap.

Do we have any idea how many members Augusta admits annually?

With only 300 or so members, I'm guessing it's pretty low. Obviously, they could have bumped a woman to the front of the line any time they wanted to, if they just wanted to make this go away, but I'm betting it takes years for any potential member (who isn't the CEO of IBM) to be admitted.

That's a pretty funny joke, if you ask me. Stop being so sensitive.

I'm as white and middle-aged as the Republican platform committee and I thought Chad's line was racist. Let's show a bit more respect for someone who was 4-5 steps from the presidency at one point.

    It's a shot at ANGC's membership/leadership, not at Rice.

Gotta believe the punchline was directed at the club, not Ms. Rice.

Maybe if Augusta National hadn't waited so long to um, desegregate, they wouldn't still be the butt of jokes like this.

That's an interesting thought. Could be true.

True enough, but there's a bit of a dig at Dr. Rice in there, too. You know, the whole bag-totin' bit given her history working with Bush the younger.

I'm not so sure - you'd have to massage the punchline to include something more akin to 'carrying water.' Does Chad even do political stuff, subtle or otherwise?
