    Football Recruiting Writer: Helps to cover Auburn football, primarily recruiting, for a national network. Strong working knowledge of issues involved in college football recruiting. Must have a flexible schedule and be able to develop sources. Strong communication skills. Willingness to participate in multimedia promotion and connect with fans through Twitter and Facebook important. Editing skills a plus. College degree required and previous sports writing experience preferred.

    We will be looking for candidates with the following traits:

    -A working knowledge of Auburn football and an understanding of football recruiting and what it entails.

    -Previous writing experience and a solid understanding of AP Style.

    -An open schedule, especially at night for calling recruits. Stories can and do come together at all hours.

    -Most importantly, you must have an intense interest in college football recruiting, specifically at Auburn. There will be opportunities to cover the team as well throughout the year, but this position will focus on the recruiting end of the football program.

    We are looking for this position to be filled immediately.
