I recently saw him on a cable Christian network of some sort giving a step-by-step tutorial for how to approach strangers and convert them.

I really enjoyed Growing Pains, but I heard Kirk was a bit of a pain on the set. He was awesome as D.J.'s brother on Full House though. It was as if he was born to play that role.

If you ever have a chance, watch the E! True Hollywood Story for Growing Pains...

Essentially, the producers said they quit they show because they got sick of dealing with Cameron and all of his freaky religious BS... He sounds like a gigantic douche...

That's where I heard that, too. I don't think I'd hang out with that guy.

Why does it have to be freaky religious BS. Its his beliefs. I dont believe in Scientology but should I say that Tom Cruise is a freak? No. Is he a jerk. It appears that way but doesn’t have anything to do with his religion. The same could be said for Cameron if he was a malcontent on the set.

But if he continually browbeats everyone with his beliefs and tries to convert them, it's freaky religious BS.

Producers walked away from a Top 10 show rather than deal with him.

What does that say about the guy?

I saw Kirk Cameron on TV recently, with a Jim Jones smile permanently plastered on his mug, giving a discourse on how to walk up to strangers on the street and preach the gospel. His tips amounted to not coming on too strong. Making friends with small talk for a few minutes before you whip out the bible. I guess people can judge for themselves whether he's a freak.

That's the spiel they gave to the guys on the college campuses when I was there in the '90s. About 10,000 people walking to and fro to their classes and some random guy sidles up to you and starts an innocent conversation, and then after a couple of minutes: "By the way, we're having a bible study tomorrow night, would you like to join us?" I wised up to that pretty fast.
