Under New Jersey harassment laws, his words would have to be made "anonymously," "at inconvenient hours" or be "offensively course." The 'offensively course' part seems to be designed intentionally to make it easy to arrest but hard to convinct.

But the kid didn't just say it, he committed another crime by appropriating Wal-Mart property. That'll ultimately be his downfall.

 

You willing subject yourself to the possibility of enduring something stupid by going to Wal Mart.

 

Well, there IS that.

 

I wouldn't necessarily arrest the kid for saying what he did over the intercom. Unless he used Auto-Tune. Then I'd give him life.

 

or if he said "anyone who will now qualify public assisted health care please leave the store", the place would have emptied out.

 

Yelling "La Migra" down here would empty one out too.

 

If he'd thrown in "shorty" ... summary execution.
