Personally, I think if you get convicted of anything with "assassination" in it, you ought to do life and do it the whole way, but I guess that's why I'm not running the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Oh wonderful, I'm so happy to know that one of the Manson family is going to get out.

Next, perhaps some do-gooder lawyer can work on getting Terry Nichols, Ted Kaczynski and a few of the guys who helped plot 9/11 out of jail as well.....

Or the guy behind the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole...wait, what's that?

One of my favorite SNL sketches was the "Dangerous but Inept" interview with Squeaky, who was played by Laraine Newman.
    Here's the transcript:

Can I ask how you don't get the needle/gas/hanging/beheading after trying to kill the prez?

As far as I know, there's nowhere that allows the death penalty for attempted murder.

I think Charlie gets another parole hearing in 2012. Those transcripts are always worth reading.

I was exaggerating of course, but in all seriousness, even getting parole for trying to wack the President, to me, is absurd.
