Boycott the Beijing opening ceremonies by watching Puppy Games 2008 ...

    This is actually great news.
'Puppy Bowl' was already better than the Super Bowl pregame and halftime shows.
And a sharp stick in the eye is better than the opening ceremonies for the Olympics.

Now we know how Harry Kalas spent his All-Star break.

Major score. The Puppy Bowl is traditionally a big hit with the ladies at the Super Bowl party.

At the party I was at, there were several men watching those puppies just as intently as the women.

I'm a softy when it comes to these kinds of things. Loves me some aminals. So, let me get a preemptive "Awwww" in right now.

BTW, with NBC's super-hyping of the games, I think I'll be sick of them before they even start. Not five minutes pass on the network without some sort of reminder.

I loved the Puppy Bowl, but it did get a little old after a while. Three hours? I don't know.

I would bet not a lot of people watch the entire three hours, though I came pretty close when they replayed it a a month or so later, but I'd imagine a lot of people flip over occasionally during those three hours.
