Notre Dame is better than Tennessee. They clobbered them last year, and they clobbered the team (Penn State) that beat Tennessee in a bowl. I'm no Notre Dame fanboy, and I recognize they can't cover anybody. But I wouldn't say they aren't in Tennessee or Arkansas' class. Not by a long stretch.

 

Let's see... winning their conference, check... going undefeated throughout the regular season with a win over a BCS conference school, check.. .winning a BCS poll against a top 10 team that some felt deserved to be playing in the BCS title game, check...

I'd like to congratulate the Big Ten for its football success this year.

-- 2-1 vs. the SEC in bowl games
-- 2-5 record in bowl games
-- Four teams in the final AP Top 25
-- One team "manipulated" out of the BCS title game

 

Attention idoit you are crazy if you wouldn't give them a chance for the national championship.

 

Here's my question: What did Boise State do in their bowl to deserve passing USC and LSU? Okay, fine, Boise was undefeated and they had a really fun game with Oklahoma and the cute-as-a-button cheerleader got proposed to, I got that much. But USC and LSU beat the ever-loving tar out of competition at LEAST as good as Oklahoma, if not better in Michigan's case. It's one thing if you always had Boise ahead of those two, but is it really reasonable to expect a team that won its bowl game in overtime to pass two teams that won their bowl games by a country mile?

 

Well, hell, now I've got a new favorite word.
