Attack of the Killer Tomatoes -- FDA warning

    Sorry for the distasteful headline. Couldn't resist. Anyway, the FDA has warned against eating certain varieties of raw tomatoes.

    Went to my Wendy's today and -- no tomatoes. They posted a sign. The weird thing was that the sign says the type of tomatoes Wendy's uses wasn't affected -- but they still didn't offer them.

    Went to Chipotle this afternoon and they had pulled their mild tomato salsa, and had a notice posted.

    What sucks is, if you order tomato for a sandwich that doesn't normally come with tomato, they'll charge you 20 cents extra.

    But the sandwiches that do normally come with tomato are the same fucking price!

    Restaurants aren't shedding any crocodile tears over this food scare. They're making out like bandits.
