Athens, Ohio police investigating OU baseball team for illegal gambling

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by Evil ... Thy name is Orville Redenbacher!!, Jan 14, 2008.

  1. Accoring To WOUB in Athens, The Ohio University Police Department is investigating illegal gambling allegations against members of the O-U baseball team.

It's unclear as to how many players are involved or the scope of the accusations.

An announcement on charges is expected at a press conference Monday morning at 11:00am.

Gambling of any kind involving student athletes on an athletic event is prohibited under N-C-A-A rules.

If the allegations hold true, O-U could face sanctions from the college athletics sanctioning body.

Dumbasses. The campus chief of police should always get a taste of the action.
