Spoelstra is gone unless they come back and win the NBA championship.

They won't dump Wade, James or Bosh because doing so would make the great signings of 2010 look like an organizational failure. The organization is too proud to do that. They're close, they got to the Finals last year and the conference finals this year. Not like they're in last place. A bounce here or there and maybe they win it all. Maybe they still will.

If the Heat lose (something I think is still a big if) Spoelstra goes but they keep the Big 3 together and desperately try to scrap together some better role players for them to work with.

This thread is going to be so hilarious in hindsight.

Erik Spoelstra for coach of the year, decade, millenium.

Great game plan: "Get the ball to LeBron and let him shoot it, guys."

Yeah was thinking the same thing. LeBron and Wade are 1a and 1b, doesn't that mean Wade is real good. So they should get rid of him and get some better players?

Somebody should compile a list of quotes from various columnists, etc. Reading about this series (and to some extent the Western final) was like trying to tell time by watching a weather vane.

I think this was a perfectly fair thread at the time.
