Associated Press gives notice to terminate editorial contracts

    It means they are negotiating.

    I would say that, too, but I know several AP employees on my Facebook page who are wondering what it means, too.

    My understanding is that this is the first step before the company can declare an impasse and make its best and final contract offer to the Guild.

    It's another sign that management is going to totally fucking mangle that place until there is no AP left and all of you are left to hire stringers for everything, and make up your agate on your own.
