    Job Title: Associate Content Producer
    Department: Digital Media Services
    Supervisor: Senior Manager, Digital Media Services

    Summary:
    CBS Interactive Advanced Media is the leader in the production, management and hosting of official athletic websites, e-commerce solutions, streaming products and mobile services for colleges and universities across the United States. CBSi Advanced Media currently produces a network of approximately 130 official athletic sites for schools including the University of Notre Dame (und.com), University of Alabama (rolltide.com), and the University of Southern California (usctrojans.com).

    Essential Duties:
    Primary responsibilities include updating official athletic sites within an assigned group and providing general maintenance across the entire network. Duties include, but are not limited to, posting information provided by partner institutions, building promotional graphics, using wire copy and photos to update sites, monitoring live event statistics, and constructing web pages with proprietary software, HTML and CSS. This position does not involve writing original content.

    Qualification Requirements:
    • HTML, CSS and Photoshop experience desired
    • Avid college sports fan
    • Willingness to work some nights, holidays and weekends
    • Experience in a college athletics department, particularly in media relations or digital media, preferred
    • Ability to work well with others and proactively towards a goal
    • Excellent partner-facing communication skills, both oral and written
    • Very high-level of accuracy, keen attention to detail and problem solving capabilities
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
    • Superior professionalism, discretion, and judgment
    • Copy editing/headline writing skills preferred

    Education and/or Experience:
    Bachelor’s Degree in journalism or related field preferred
    Collegiate sports information or journalism experience desired

    This job has popped up a lot over the years. Carlsbad-based and I have been told, the pay is not that great, especially for Carlsbad.
