As an 11K paper, would you have anybody under you to give orders to? Or is this just a two-man shop with a sports editor and assistant sports editor?

I looked at the website...there seems to also be a prep writer on staff.

I know Tennessee is much cheaper to live than, say, Massachusetts or California. But $20-$25K per year for an ASE job?

Sounds like an entry-level or second stop job.

I noticed the same thing. Wikipedia* states that the average income for males in Columbia, TN is is nearly 35,000K (36,000K for households).

    *for what it's worth

Columbia is just south of Spring Hill, where the Saturn car manufacturing plant was located before being shuttered several years ago. It's a nice area, and about 45 minutes or so to Nashville.
