  1. A statewide daily in Delaware, has an immediate opening for an assistant sports editor. This person serves as the No. 2 in a department that covers all levels of sports in our region – from the Phillies, Eagles and 76ers, to two Division I universities and 60 high schools. The ideal candidate must know sports inside and out, possess strong news judgment and copy editing skills and be able to skillfully meet the demands of print and digital, while being innovative on both fronts. We’re looking for a person who can grow to become our next sports editor. Applicants should have experience running a sports department, such as a sports editor at a smaller paper. Delaware is a great place to live, just 20 minutes from Philadelphia, 90 minutes from Baltimore and 2 hours from Washington, D.C. and New York City. Delaware beaches are among the best on the East Coast. E-mail resume and clips to Sports Editor, Jason Levine.
