    This could be a very good job for somebody. As you'll find in the description, despite the title, it's mostly about video. And don't be distracted by "College Sports Online" ... that's a division label.     Job Description The Assistant Managing Editor oversees all aspects of planning and execution on editorial video, audio, and visual content. The AME will oversee the video production team and report directly into media and fantasy editorial directors. This position will be responsible for building plans, handling budgets, managing teams, and working across departments to drive audience growth and delivery of high quality video experiences.

    The responsibilities of the AME include, but are not limited to, the following:
    Oversee all aspect of video editorial content production:
    • Create plans outlining editorial video strategy for seasons and events. Plans must include production schedules, resource plans, and content outlines.
    • Schedule and coordinate internal resources and freelancers to execute on editorial video plans
    • Create weekly and daily video budgets outlining detailed schedules and assignments
    • Manage financial budgets and make investment decisions to improve consumer experience
    • Track video consumption metrics and offer insight into what’s working and what’s not working
    • Communicate video plans and schedules with all CBS Broadcast, CBS Sports Network, and other stakeholders
    • Work with programming and product teams on optimizing integration of video into the site and create the best consumer experience
    • Attend all Newsroom Budget meetings and monitor upcoming plans for covers, features, and stories for potentially impactful video integration opportunities.
    • Work with video product management team to improve video programming tools and consumer facing video experiences
    • Manage schedules for the New York and Florida team of Video Editors and Producers

    Manage Florida studio
    • Oversee Florida video studio capex budget and maintenance to create high-quality video
    • Act as liaison to all other CBS business units for requests related to Florida studio content
    Required Skills/Experience Job Requirements
    The ideal candidate must have strong communications skills, be highly creative, and be a strong self motivator.
    • Highly organized
    • Strong self motivator
    • Experience managing teams
    • Online editorial experience is a plus
    • 5+ years of video production experience
    • 5+ years of online experience
    • BA
    *Must successfully pass a background check.
