True story. I am six drinks in at an event that my company is sponsoring, and I just got introduced to Ben Bernanke. I had no idea what he looked like. Resisted the urge to ask, "So, how about that economy?" I am thinking about bidding on a commemorative WaPo press plate from inauguration day. Nobody has bid so far.

The way his stock's dropping FDP can wait a few weeks and get a better price.

Make it eight drinks then start bidding against him on every turn.

Bernanke just left. I got a picture with him. Facebook is in his future.

Solid. How tanked do you look in the picture?

I haven't seen it yet. The professional photographer who was on hand will get a call from me in the morning for a copy.

FYI, I am the proud owner of the press plate.

    Congrats.

I think all of us are wondering, though. Did you spend more on the plate or more for your drinks tonight? ;D

I spent nothing on drinks. That was all TARP. I spent $150 on the plate.

  11. Frankly, given his irresponsible actions which helped create this economic debacle, I'd have slapped him with a glove and given him his choice of weapons -- percussion pistols or sabers. Or, since he's no gentleman, merely turned and walked away.
