Ashton & Demi Caught Up In NCAA Violation

    I can't stand these two, but shouldn't someone have been monitoring the situation a little more carefully than this story make me think the University was doing...? Hope this is no D-B, BTW.

    How is this any different than basketball coaches giving recruits the phone number of former players who are in the NFL or NBA to talk up the program?

    Nevermind the former players who "just happen" to be on the sideline on a day when key recruits are coming in.

    I know it's a violation, but it just makes me shrug compared to what happens at other places.

    Five bucks says they gave Demi the double-team while Ashton played videographer.

    It's a secondary violation. They happen all of the time at nearly every school. Nothing to see here.

    Hell, I caused a secondary violation once by interviewing a recruit at an organized practice on my beat.
