    Gotta love the ad dept. where no deadlines seem to apply...lol.

    Plenty of lofty ideas, but usually little to no follow-through.

    I'm kicking some major butt!

    In 10 hours of work, I have only 11 pages remaining to be worked on (and two of them are the front and back cover). The ones I've worked on are either in the can or are laid out and just waiting for headshots.

    I have one story left to write and a short intro column, and that is it.

    I'm in the semi-dead zone where practices don't officially start for a few weeks, so any coach I call can only give me vague ideas about who is starting. Some are obvious picks, but for the most part, many of my previews have three players vying for time at RB1. I know I'm going to be making another call to the coach in three weeks, but with the quick turnaround this pullout requires, it's a necessary evil.

    It looks like I'm going to have to make twice the amount of calls. Good thing I love doing this.
